Andrei Vovk

    I was born on 22 November 1991 in city of Lviv. Started to play chess in 1998. In 2006 became international master. In 2009 gained the title of international grandmaster. Since 2000 I am training in group of Vladimir Grabinsky. My brother is International Grandmaster Yuri Vovk. I won silver medal on Ukrainian Championship under 20, letting only my brother ahead.


 

   Among my most valuable achievements are:

  • winning international grandmaster tournament in Illichivsk (2006);
  • winner grandmaster tournament Proclient Cup in Olomouc, (Czech 2010);
  • winner Internationale Deutsche Jugendmeisterschaft in Rosenheim, (Germany 2010);
  • second place on international open-tournament in Vlissingen (2009).
