24.06.2011 20:29In Saturday 25th June Lviv chess federation organized granmaster's blitz-tournament dedicated to 50th anniversary of Lviv youth chess school. 50 years ago Kart started to train little Marta Litinskaya, Oleg Romanishin, Alexander Beliavsky. At 12.00 on the Market Square there started blitz competition, where participated 10 young grandmasters and masters. Lviv weather has spoilt the event a bit. Rain and strong wind blew the players inside. Where a bit wet grandmasters continued to compete with same energy. Among the honoured guests there were grandmasters Adrian Mikhalchishin, Margeir Pétursson, national Deputy of Ukraine Stepan Davymuka, Lviv journalist and historian Ivan Yaremko. Yuriy Kryvoruchko turned out to be winner, who scored 7,5 out of 9 despite the first defeat.
